Card Compromised? Here’s Exactly What to Do – Fast, Safe, and Secure

Losing your card or realizing it’s been compromised can send anyone into panic mode—but don’t worry. Whether your card is lost, stolen, or you suspect it’s been used fraudulently, you have quick and secure options to protect your account.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to immediately restrict access and take back control.
1. Use the Mobile Banking App to Instantly Block or Hotlist Your Card
Your first and fastest line of defense is at your fingertips—your mobile banking application.
Follow these simple steps:
- Tap the Dashboard icon (top right corner).
- Select Cards.
- By default, your CREDIT cards will be displayed.
- Choose the card (last 4 digits will show).
- Select Services.
- Then choose either Hotlist or Block.
What’s the difference?
- Block – Temporarily freezes your card. Use this if you think you misplaced your card or believe it might be compromised. You can unblock it through the app once you’re sure it’s safe.
- Hotlist – Permanently disables the card. Choose this if your card is definitely lost, stolen, or compromised. Be sure to request a replacement card through Online or Mobile Banking immediately after.
2. Reach Out via WhatsApp – Quick, Easy, and Secure
You can also report a lost or compromised card by sending a WhatsApp message to 774-CARD (2273).
Just send a message and you’ll be guided through the process.
A representative will then contact you to assist further.
Note: This WhatsApp line is only for lost, stolen, or compromised card cases.
3. Abroad? Here’s How to Get Help Internationally
If you’re outside of Trinidad and Tobago, no stress. You’re still covered.
